Review of Netvalar speaks on music.

I received a request for a review by the author of the blog Netvalar speaks on music. Netvalar blogs about music, with a focus on the independent music.

The look of the blog is neat and organized, featuring the colors green, beige and blue. There is a picture in the header that I am presuming is Netvalar but I am not sure because it is tiny. I’d recommend using a larger version of the picture in the header.
I don’t know if the author has altered the theme or if it was this way when he found it but some areas of the theme have places where the images are off, creating little spaces.

Blog navigation. The blog doesn’t appear to have additional pages except for a page listing ways to contact Netvalar. There are five other links that take the reader off of the site without warning. There doesn’t seem to be a way to move from the front page to pages containing older posts. To find older posts I had to scroll back up towards the top of the page and click on the month with posts I wanted to read. This is too much unnecessary work for a reader. Help the readers find the content you want them to find as well as the content they’re looking for. Don’t make reading the articles work.

Netvalar includes some videos, but could also benefit from some still shots.  He strives to offer a lot of information and advice. He includes lots of links to related content. You can tell he is trying to talk with the reader. He could try rephrasing if it sounds like he’s directing. The biggest suggestion I have as far as the actual writing style goes is that he try and make sure wording and usage are clear.

Lastly, we could stand to learn more about Netvalar. is Netvalar his name? Where is he from? How did he come to have the advice he offers? Is/was he an artist? How did he come to be in the music industry? What are his goals? As I went through the blog these questions and others came to mind. Consider writing an about page. I think readers would appreciate knowing more about where you’re coming from.
