Rest Assured, Hinder Will Not Run Out Of Jaegermeister On Tour

Fresh off a #4 debut on The Billboard Top 200 Album Chart, Hinder show no signs of slowing down as they continue to trek around The U.S. on The Jaegermeister Tour. Known for their excessive Rock N Roll lifestyle, Hinder have embarked on the road with Rev Theory and Trapt.

We caught up with Hinder to get their thoughts on their relationship with Jaegermeister.

Video clip :

Hinder On Their Relationship With Jaegermeister

“Jaegermeister, Jaegermeister, Jaegermeister, yeah we have a great relationship with Jaeger. So, we have a Jaeger machine on our bus and we keep a constant stock underneath. So it just seemed like a perfect fit. Well it fits right in there. Right in the cabinet. They designed it for buses. As a matter of fact you can fit 120 bottles in a very small space underneath the buses. It looks really cool too. It’s so exciting when it lights up and everything.”

So what happens when Hinder runs out of Jaegermeister while on tour?

Hinder On Running Out Of Jaegermeister

“We did this deal where we ran out of Jaeger and we called them up and they sent a ton of shit over to some random store and we went in and bought 120 bottles and we wiped them out. The display was gone. Yeah, it’s pretty sweet. They love us and we love them absolutely.”

Hinder will be on The Jaegermeister Tour until December 22nd in Indiana. Look for Hinder to perform a special show with Buckcherry, Drowning Pool, Rev Theory and In the Moment on December 6th in Dallas, Texas, which is also part of 2008’s Jaegermeister Tour.

Hinder Take Their Debut To The Limit At Number 4

Hinder’s latest album “Take It To The Limit” debuted at #4 on The Billboard Top 200 chart after the bands election day release. The sophomore follow-up to their 3X platinum debut “Extreme Behavior,” also made a showing on multiple iTunes charts in its opening week landing at #1 on the iTunes Rock Album Chart and #2 on the iTunes Album Chart. The current single Without You has already broken onto the charts in both Top 40 and Hot AC formats continuing the band’s trend of success at radio.

Video clip :

We caught up with Hinder just before the album’s release to discuss the recording session for “Take It To The Limit” flowing smoothly.

Everything Flowed Nicely For Hinder During Take It To The Limit

“It was a good process. We thought about how we were going to do it before hand and went in there and knocked it out. I don’t know it was fairly smooth and everything seemed to flow nicely and fit.”

Hinder also talked about the great chemistry they have with producer Brian Howes, who also produced the debut album “Extreme Behavior.”

Hinder On Great Chemistry With Brian Howes

“You know we just have this great chemistry whenever Me and Cody get in the room with him and just three acoustic guitars. That’s how we did the first record and why mess up what worked and we have great chemistry with the guy. He’s an amazing producer.”

Hinder are currently touring on the 7th Annual Jagermeister Music tour, which includes hard rockers Trapt and Rev Theory. Hinder will roll into their own backyard of Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 26, winding up the 17-city jaunt with a special Thanksgiving Eve show at Cains Ballroom. The tour will then extend until December 22nd in Indiana.

Looking for the naked girls

November 6th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Album, Dvd, Hinder

Well, aside from work and my other blogs and family, I thought you might like to know what’s been keeping me busy since the album dropped. I’ve been on my quest to get the cd in each version that was released. I have six cd/dvds in the house and I still haven’t gotten the elusive X rated inside with the naked girls on it. I’ve got the PG and the R. If anyone know of a store selling them please let me know. Thanks.

Hinder - 10/05/08 Blast Magazine Take It To The Limit CD Review

November 5th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Album, Hinder, Review

The date on this article is approximate.

This article was taken directly from http://www.blastmagazine.net/CD%27s/reviews/hinder-takeittothelimit.html

Hinder - ‘Take It To The Limit’
Released in 2008 through Universal Records

THE BAND:
Austin Winkler – vocals
Mark King – guitar
Blower – guitar
Mike Rodden – bass
Cody Hanson – drums
additional musicians:
Paul Laine/ Brian Howes/ Austin Winkler – gang vocals
Mick Mars (Mötley Crüe) lead guitar on ‘Take It To The Limit”

TRACK FRAGMENTS:
1.) “Use Me” –This is the first single that was taken off of the CD. The song opens with Austin doing a very small vocal scream. The intro consists of a Malcolm Young (AC/DC) style rhythm guitar riff along with Cody playing a rhythm on his hi-hat and bass drum. After about two measures there is another small vocal accent. Over the top of the rest of the intro there is a minor lead guitar solo. There is a small Austin vocal accent that is echoed over the top of the minor lead guitar solo. Blower and Mark change both the rhythm and lead guitar arrangements for the musical pre-verse. For the musical pre-verse just as soon as the first lyric line kicks-in the guitarists drop the lead rhythm for just the rhythm guitar. In the way the guys arranged the pre-verse has the rhythm guitar riffs laced in between the lead vocal lines. The last lyric line of the pre-verse was double tracked. It is also at this point where the rhythm & lead guitar rhythm changes. The verse musically and lyrically was kept very simple. You can get no better hook than the hook these guys wrote for the choruses of this song. The lead guitar solo connects the second chorus with the break-down section.
2.) “Loaded And Alone” –This track opens with a very simple rhythm guitar riff over the top of a rhythm guitar effect. There are a couple Austin lead vocal accents over the top of everything. As the intro progresses Cody builds the intro up with intensity by playing a pattern on his tom-toms. There is a small vocal accent connecting the second and third measure of the intro. There is a minor lead guitar solo over the top of the third and fourth measure. There is a small rhythm guitar change underneath the musical verse. In fact, the way Mark & Blower wrote the guitar tracks of the verse gives it a lead and rhythm guitar arrangement sound. Classic eighties songwriting 101!!!! There is a small rhythm guitar change underneath the pre-chorus of the song. What a sweet vocal hook through the chorus!!!! The lead guitar solo of this song fit perfectly. There is a small vocal and musical breakdown section connecting the breakdown with the next chorus. There is a minor lead guitar solo underneath the vocal lines of the outro section.
3.) “Last Kiss Goodbye” –There is a minor lead guitar solo over the top of this intro section. The main rhythm guitar of the verse was done with an acoustic guitar. It sounded like the third and forth lyric line of the opening verse was double tracked. There are a couple lead guitar licks thrown in underneath the vocal lines. There is a small rhythm change underneath the lead vocal lines of the chorus. In between the vocal lines and acoustic guitar there is a minor lead guitar solo. It is the same solo as the intro section. In the way the guys wrote the lyric lines of the next verse gave it a duet feel (lead vocals/backing vocals/lead vocals/etc). The lead guitar along with Austin’s vocal lines gave the choruses of this song a very sweet hook. After the second chorus there are two lyric lines that connect the chorus with the breakdown section. Underneath the two lyric lines there are a couple small vocal accents. There is a huge acoustic guitar arrangement change for the breakdown section of the song. Austin’s vocals for the last two choruses of the outro where overdubbed.
4.) “Up All Night” – The first two measures of this intro consisted of a small lead guitar riff over the top of a bass drum rhythm. There is a small lead vocal laugh that connects the first two intro measures with the last two. It is also at this point were the main intro of the song kicks-in. In the way the guys arranged the musical verse put the main instrumentation on Cody’s shoulders. There is a small rhythm guitar change underneath the pre-chorus. The bread and butter of the song is by far the simple hook of the chorus. The lyrics of the actual track are a little different than the lyric insert of the CD. In writing this track the band really drew from late eighties hard rock.
5.) “Without You” – This intro was done with an acoustic guitar. The guys used the same guitar rhythm for the verse as the intro. The band does not kick the song in until the first pre-chorus. As the pre-chorus progresses the hook of the song gets stronger. Mixed in the musical chorus there is what sounds to be a small mandolin arrangement. This little arrangement really filled-in the empty spaces of the acoustic. There is a small lead guitar solo that connects the first chorus with the second verse. There is a second solo section between the second and third choruses.
6.) “Take It To The Limit” – The lead guitar on this track was performed by the legendary Mick Mars (Mötley Crüe). The intro of this track consisted of a couple of lyric accents along with a short minor lead guitar solo. Several of Austin’s lyric lines of the verse where double tracked. There is a small minor solo connecting the verse with the pre-chorus. Once you here the minor solo connecting the first chorus with the second verse there will be no doubt has to who is playing the lead guitar on this song. Lyrically and musically Hinder kept this song very simple making it a fun loving hard rock track.
7.) “The Best Is Yet To Come” – There is a small acoustic guitar and string orchestration intro on this track. The lyric wring on the verses of this track is songwriting 101! Underneath the pre-chorus the band added a electric guitar arrangement. There is a small minor lead guitar solo connecting the pre-chorus with the chorus. If you are a young songwriter this is the blueprint you need to use!!!
8.) “Heaven Sent” – This track opens with a small keyboard and lyric line before going into the main musical into. The main intro section consisted of a lead guitar riff over the top of a tom-tom rhythm. Cody switches from his tom-tom rhythm to a standard hi-hat rhythm for the musical verse. There is a small lead guitar riff in between the vocal lines and the rhythm guitar of the pre-chorus. Austin’s vocal lines of the chorus have a huge hook attached to them. There is a lead guitar solo that connects the second chorus with the breakdown section. The breakdown section of this song was taken right out of an eighties fake book.
9.) “Thing For You” –The intro of this track consisted of an acoustic guitar over the top of a percussion section. There is no arrangement change between the intro and verse. There is a small vocal echo attached to Austin’s vocals on the last lyric of lyric lines two and four of the first verse. Instead of changing the rhythm for the pre-chorus the guys added a second rhythm guitar. As the pre-chorus and chorus progress the song builds with a huge hook. There is a small lead guitar solo connecting the first chorus with the second verse. There is a major lead guitar solo connecting the second and third choruses of the song.
10.) “Lost In The Sun” – The intro of this track consist of a minor lead guitar solo. The intro opens with two measures of solo and rhythm guitar before the rest of the band kick-in. There is a small rhythm change for the musical verse. The hook of this track comes from the rhythm guitar. One thing the band done to give this track a very thick sound was incorporate an acoustic guitar underneath the electric guitar rhythm.
11.) “Far From Home” - This track opened with the verse. The musical verse consisted of an acoustical guitar arrangement. In the way they overdubbed Austin’s vocals of the pre-chorus where very unique and very cool. There are a few small lead guitar licks that connect the first chorus with the second verse. These licks run underneath the choruses.

When I was reading preliminary reports about ‘Take It To The Limit’ an I’m paraphrasing here however, I was reading reports from the band the songwriting on this album is much more mature. I thought to myself as I was reading it, “I don’t know of a songwriter in the world that has not said the same thing about their own songs”. And for the most part I usually disagree with these statements however, understand them. Would you want someone to tell you your kids ugly! With that being said I must agree. The songs on ‘Take It To The Limit’ shows a more experienced band in not only their songwriting however their tightness musically.
Unlike Hinder’s freshman release their sophomore release consisted of more ‘power ballad’ “God if you only knew how I hate using that term” style songs. The band wrote lyrically intelligent songs yet kept the parting style. Did I hear a “Lips Of An Angel” on this CD? I HEARD A BUNCH OF THEM. This will be a definite must have for Hinder and hard rock fans a like!
